Josephine founded Courage & Dash, an interiors and lifestyle blog, as an outlet for her love of beautiful spaces. She is often found larking about markets – vintage, flea, food, you name it – and wandering through haberdasheries. Josephine would live in Liberty or Anthropologie if she could, but she can’t, so instead lives in a cosy little top floor hideaway in a quirky Victorian house. Her wonderful husband lovingly tolerates her tendencies to seek, find and hoard, and her patient landlady kindly indulges her need to cover blank walls with beautiful hangings and photographs. When not writing for Courage & Dash, she works full time, plays the harp for fun, and scours the Kingdom for new weekend destinations. Would love a pack of Spaniels, a hammock, and a tree house one day.
Martha Stewart
Engagement ring from the 1930s which belonged to my husband’s great-grandaunt, my little modern letterpress, and my books.
Wandering around Brighton on a hot summer’s day, eating (many) ice creams, lying on the grass by the Pavilion, and then having fish and chips on the pier while the sun starts to disappear.
Being with my husband (especially if we happen to be taking a long, long ramble through the countryside!)
Be like Martha Stewart and run a lifestyle empire.
